  1. 2 cups steel cut oats (not instant or quick cooking)
  2. 2 cups diced apple - peeled and seeded
  3. 1 cup dried cranberries or raisins or half cup of each
  4. 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  5. 1/2 cup chopped pecans - (I used all pecans)
  6. 3 cups water
  7. 1 cup milk
  8. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  9. 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (or 2 teaspoons cinnamon)
  10. 3 teaspoons butter
  1. Combine the oats, apple, cranberries, almonds, pecans, water, milk, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and butter in a slow cooker. Cook on Low overnight or 8 hours.
